Course Overview

This course is the necessary step if you want to develop the skills to go climbing independently in winter conditions. Making the progression to climbing winter routes is something that many climbers aspire to, because of the brilliant challenges that the winter environment offers. We will start by establishing what you already know and then build on this, developing the skills you will need to climb safely and manage yourself in the winter mountains.

The big difference between this course and the ‘Introduction to Winter Lead Climbing’ course we offer is the additional time you’ll spend with one of our highly experienced instructors. This in turn will enable us to look in depth at the wide variety of winter climbing skills as well as providing you with the opportunity to apply them in a wide range of situations and a variety of different conditions.

We have intentionally kept our pricing structure simple and ensured that there are no hidden costs. Included in the price is the free hire of ice axe/s, crampons, harness’s & helmets.

1:1 Instructor to Client Ratio £1250

1:2 Instructor to Client Ratio £700pp
