ITC First Aid Courses

ITC First is the industry leading awarding body for UK first aid training. All training is practical with the majority of each course spent practising and refining your skills so that you get the most out of your time our experienced and well qualified outdoor professionals – there is no ‘death by PowerPoint!’.

Introduction

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) now puts the onus on you to ensure that your first aid course provider meets HSE requirements. The courses that we offer follow established ITC frameworks and meet both HSE due diligence (click here for more info) and are accredited by Ofqual/SQA. Courses include new modules on the use of AEDs and tourniquets and ITC certification that lasts three years.

We’ve teamed up with local ITC First aid providers Tor Lea Training to offer a range of outdoor First Aid courses. Courses are run on a maximum ratio of 12 participants to 1 trainer. All trainers are outdoor professionals with many years of experience in undertaking first aid in remote and often challenging environments – we know how tricky and full-on situations can become and are keen to share our experience with you in a relaxed and friendly environment.

16 Hour Outdoor First Aid

A 2-day course ideal for those operating in outdoor environments, more remote locations and for instructors needs to renew their first aid certificate to ensure that NGB qualifications remain valid (e.g. LLA, HML, ML, SPA, IML, WML, MIA, MIC, BMG and BCU, BASI and British Cycling awards). As this course is Ofqual/SQA accredited, it also provides valid certification for BASI ski instructors and BCU paddling qualifications.
