Instructors & Qualifications
We're a team well known for our experience and all hold the highest UK mountaineering qualifications. That's something we've all worked hard over our careers to achieve and sets us apart from most UK activity providers.
We work with a close team of freelance instructors who hold the relevant qualifications for the courses they deliver as well as having a diverse range of experience and expertise to draw upon. Our core instructors hold higher qualifications and are among those at the top of their profession in the UK.
The quality of our instructors ensures an exceptional balance between safety and adventure: participants benefit from high-quality training that comes from the direct experience of outdoor professionals.
The Gold Standard
"Gold Standard is AHOEC’s (The Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres) quality scheme, developed to go beyond the standards set by the LOtC Quality Badge, AAIAC Adventure Mark and AALA. Encompassing not just safety but also the quality of service and learning, the Gold Standard logo provides assurances to participants and customers.
Focusing on 9 areas, the process enables providers to focus on the quality of their entire provision, not just the delivery. The Gold Standard process is the most comprehensive and wide ranging assessment of quality available to providers of Outdoor Learning."
Adventure Mark
The Adventure Mark is a non-statutory safety scheme devised by the Adventure Activity Industry Advisory Committee for providers of adventurous activities. As a holder of the Adventure Mark, Adventure Expertise has demonstrated that we manage the potential risks of the adventurous activities that we undertake to a high standard. As part of achieving Adventure Mark, we have been inspected and found to meet the AAIAC Provider Accreditation standards which defines "good practice" in the adventure activity industry.
